Course Description

This rigorous one-year class presents an overview of key moments in modern world history.  The Fall Semester starts with the origins of democratic ideas and continues to the Age of Exploration, revolution, industrialism, nationalism and finally imperialism. The Spring Semester focuses on the more modern case studies of WWI, WWII, and the Cold War in Europe and Asia, as well as, post-WWII nationalism in Africa, Asia, and Latin America, finally ending with a present day analysis of the global world.
